Carpentry is usually the biggest line item in a kitchen renovation, and it is often priced “per foot run”. Here is what that means.
What is a foot run?
A foot run measures the length of cabinetry (per foot), separately for bottom and top cabinets. More cabinetry means more foot runs.
What affects the price
- Carcass material — solid plywood lasts far longer than cheaper boards.
- Door finish — laminate, acrylic or spray.
- Hardware — soft-close hinges and runners.
- Special features — tall units, islands, internal organisers.
Our approach
We quote transparently, use thicker solid plywood as standard, and back every cabinet with a 2-year warranty — at direct-contractor prices.
